Hello Stampers! It's a little late in the day, but it's time for Map It Monday!

Hello Stampers! Below is the card and scrapbook page we made at Missy's workshop on Saturday.

I love the popsicle card. It has been around for a couple of years but I had never made one so I was excited to do this one. Everyone enjoyed making it! Wouldn't this be a cute birthday party invitation?

This was a very simple 6 x 6 scrapbook page. We used punches and the Big Shot. We also used the new Bitty Buttons from the current Mini Catalog.

If you have any questions about these projects or you would like to order the materials to make them, contact me today!

Hello Stampers! I was invited to do a workshop yesterday with mostly "new to stamping" ladies and it was so much fun! When I first arrived, my hostess Missy handed me this beautifully stamped envelope.

If that wasn't enough, I opened the envelope to find this wonderful card inside. I have never had a hostess do that for me before and it made me feel truly special! Missy is a very creative person and I hope to see her at some classes!
Tomorrow I will post pictures of the card and scrapbook page we made at Missy's workshop. Stay tuned!
Until then....
Happy Stamping,

Happy Monday Stampers! I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day. I had a wonderful day with my family!

I have come up with a title for my challenges. I will call it Map It Mondays! It will either be a card map or a scrap map each time so this made sense.

This week's challenge is a scrap map. Make it any size you choose. Mine is based on a 6 x 6 page. You can see it is very simple.

Email me an image of your finished map and I will post it next week. I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Farewell to Old Favorites!

Hello Stampers! As some of you my know, Stampin' Up! is doing a color renovation with the new catalog releasing on July 1st. Several colors will be retiring and there will be a set of 40 core colors which includes some retired In Colors coming in as core colors. In Colors will also be a part of the palette for 2 years now instead of just one.

Through May re-inkers in the retiring colors may be on back-order and those orders will be filled as soon as the product arrives in the warehouse. Card stock on the other hand is a completely different animal. Stampin' Up! will be substituting textured paper for some of the smooth colors - including card stock in 8 1/2 x 11 as well as 12 x 12 where the smooth is no longer available. There will be no change in price for the substitutions.

Basically what I am saying is this - if you want one of the retiring colors in card stock it will be a "while supplies last" issue so you might want to order quickly.

You can find a chart below of the retiring colors. I can't wait to show you the new colors!! They are beautiful!
You can also download the pdf to the left showing the new colors if you don't want to wait.

May is National Scrapbooking Month. For some, I am included in that category, scrapbooking can be a bit intimidating. Listed below find a couple of tips to help.

  • Try not to scrapbook absolutely every photo you have. Start with a handful of favorite photos.
  • A large scrapbook may seem like a large, time consuming task. Start out with just a small 6 x 6 album or a paperbag album.
  • In the age of mostly digital photography it is easy to do multiple copies of a photo. Don't be afraid to cut a photo into a shape or trim it up. You can always make a re-print. If you don't have a digital photo, scan your original and have that printed. Use the scanned, printed copy for your scrapbook and file the original in a photo safe box.
  • If you love technology, give the My Digital Studio from Stampin' Up! a try.
  • Never alter a heritage photo. By this I mean those old photos passed down from generations.

I hope some of these tips will help you to get started on scrapbooking. If you would like to schedule a class or learn more about scrapbooking, contact me!
