May is National Scrapbooking Month. For some, I am included in that category, scrapbooking can be a bit intimidating. Listed below find a couple of tips to help.

  • Try not to scrapbook absolutely every photo you have. Start with a handful of favorite photos.
  • A large scrapbook may seem like a large, time consuming task. Start out with just a small 6 x 6 album or a paperbag album.
  • In the age of mostly digital photography it is easy to do multiple copies of a photo. Don't be afraid to cut a photo into a shape or trim it up. You can always make a re-print. If you don't have a digital photo, scan your original and have that printed. Use the scanned, printed copy for your scrapbook and file the original in a photo safe box.
  • If you love technology, give the My Digital Studio from Stampin' Up! a try.
  • Never alter a heritage photo. By this I mean those old photos passed down from generations.

I hope some of these tips will help you to get started on scrapbooking. If you would like to schedule a class or learn more about scrapbooking, contact me!
