Map It! Monday Challenge

Happy Memorial Day everyone!  I'd like to take a moment and thank all of the men, women and families that have paid the ultimate price for the freedom and liberties that we enjoy today.  And that price continues on a daily basis.  I am proud to the wife of a retired military man and I know the sacrifices our families pay are just as high so please remember them as well.  If you see a soldier on the street, not only today but any day, thank them.  There is no need for explainations.  They understand and they appreciate you taking the time.  Remember our fallen.  Not just today but everyday.

I wasn't going to post the Map It! Monday challenge until tomorrow, but because I didn't get it posted last week I decided to stop what I was doing and share with you.  Try to imagine this challenge without the Whisper White on it.  It would seem a dark and dreery card. 

Have you ever done the torn edge technique?  You can do it with cardstock, designer series paper or make a faux look using sponging and at least two different colors of Classic Ink.

Map It! Monday Challenge

Happy Monday Stampers! I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. I certainly did but I can tell you I am terribly sore through my shoulders. My husband and myself spent 4 hours Saturday morning washing windows at our church. I didn’t realize our church had so many windows! It was rewarding when we were finished. Tiring, but very rewarding.

Well on to this weeks challenge. I chose a 12 x 12 scrapbook layout for this week’s map. Remember to use whatever supplies you already have on hand. The Designer Series Paper I used has always been one of my favorites. I was thrilled when Stampin’ Up! made it into a digital download for My Digital Studio.

Map It! Monday Challenge

Hello Stampers!  What a wonderful beginning to the week it is!  I love, love, love this map I created today in My Digital Studio.  Below I will list what I used.  Be sure and take a photo of your finished card so you can be a featured designer next week!

• Pear Pizazz Text Designer Series Paper
• large scalloped square punch in Melon Mambo
• punched squares in Daffodil Delight Polka Dot Designer Series Paper
• punched squares in Whisper White
• small corner punch in Daffodil Delight cardstock
• Basic Black brads
• A Little Birthday Cheer stamp set in Black
• Funky Four stamp set in Melon Mambo and Pear Pizazz
