Map It! Monday!

Happy Halloween Everyone!  Are you taking little ones out trick or treating this evening or staying home to pass out candy?  I am doing neither.  The group I belong to, QC Moms in Business is participating in the Halloween parade in Davenport, Iowa.  It's going to be the first time since I was a kid in 4-H.  Should be lots of fun.

Before I get to the card map, just a quick reminder that today is the last day to take advantage of the FREE Big Shot.  It's also the last day for the Simply Said card kits special of buy two kits receive the coordinating stamp set free.

Okay, on to the card map.  As you can see it's a Thanksgiving card.  The edge is stamped in Cajun Craze on a Really Rust cardstock.  Under that stamp is the Medallion stamp in Cajun Craze but stamped off first.  Then of course, whatever leaf you have will work just fine.  Finished off with a simple phrase and some Red Riding Hood brads.

Don't forget to take picture of your finished project and send it to me so I can feature you as a Guest Designer next week! Have a safe and happy Halloween!  Until then...

Happy Stamping!

Map It! Monday

Happy Monday Stampers!  I'm so sad to see the end of the weekend.  The weather for the past two days has been just beautiful.
Did anyone do anything fun this weekend?  Saturday we attended my grandson Robbie's 7th birthday.  Wow!  I don't know where the time goes.  I remember the day he was born as clearly as I do his mommy's birth.  Legos and Nerf toys so of course, the Nerf war began.

In our family, the Sunday following your birthday you get to choose what I cook for your birthday dinner and the kind of cake you want me to make.  Well Robbie chose Grandma's Stroganoff for the second year in a row.  I got up early this morning so I could get his chocolate cake with chocolate frosting made.  What a disappointment that was.  I flipped the cake over to remove it from the pan and the center and some thin edges stayed in the pan. :(  Well, Robbie got to eat some of his cake, sans frosting before I tossed it and headed to the grocery store to buy him one that was already baked.  He didn't care he loved eating the cake both times.

Okay, on to this week's challenge.  You all know that I make my card maps in My Digital Studio.  Well today I did it using the punch tool.  It took a while but I enjoyed myself.  Can you guess how I made the mouth?  If you want to know you'll just have to ask or maybe....

So your challenge this week is all punches to make something for either Halloween or Thanksgiving.  I'll be attempting a turkey next week...I hope.

Don't forget to take a picture and send to me so I can feature you as a guest designer on my blog!

Map It! Monday Challenge

Happy Monday Stampers! It's time for the Map It! Monday challenge. What I decided to do this week was share with you two Halloween cards that I made. I love them and I hope you will too! I would love to see what cards you stamp for halloween!

This first card is made using the Batty For You stamp set. I also used the Tasteful Trim Big Shot die for the border. I think it's pretty self explainatory.

I just love this mummy!  I think he's adorable and sooo simple to make too.  Just strips of paper and punches!  How simple could that be?  This is not my orginal design.  You can find instructions and ideas for these all over the internet but I can tell you how to make if you want to know and don't have time to surf.

If you have any questions, just let me know!

Map It! Monday!

Happy Fall Y'all!  It's October, I couldn't resist.  Recently I had a card class for a group I belong to of fellow business women, QC Moms in Business, and it was thank you cards for their customers.  One of the designs was similar to this one and I liked it so I decided to change it up a bit and show it to all of you.

I've used white grossgrain ribbon, Baroque Motifs stamp set, Melon Mambo Designer Series Paper Blooms, current In Color Island Indigo cardstock and ink, Melon Mambo brads and second year In Color cardstock Peach Parfait.  I love how it turned out!

I hope you will play along this week and send me a photo or scan of your finished masterpiece so I can feature you as a guest designer.

Happy Stamping!
